I am delighted to introduce you to Magister Resources. Launched in May 2023, Magister Resources is a new and exciting enterprise which I hope will be of tremendous value to all those involved in the world of Catholic education.
The Challenge
I have been teaching in Catholic secondary schools for the last ten years and know the joys and struggles that communicating our faith in a credible way can bring. From rushing around sourcing a last minute activity on Advent, to trying to communicate the beauty and depth of the Paschal Mystery to Year 11 on a Friday afternoon, teaching is a job like no other! In an ever-changing cultural and social landscape with competing demands, there is a great need for reliable, good-quality Catholic resources, and my hope is that Magister Resources will provide you with just that.
The Mission
Whilst Magister Resources is at the very beginning of its journey, there are numerous avenues to explore in the future, from Primary all the way through to Sixth Form. The publication of the new Religious Education Directory, ‘To know You more clearly’, is an exciting moment in the story of Catholic education. It is an opportunity to unite together and move forward with renewed purpose and direction in the fulfilment of our shared vocation. My ambition is to serve the Church, our young people, and every one of you as we strive to teach the Catholic faith in an authentic and engaging way.
The Journey
All available resources will be continually added to, building up to a fully resourced EYFS - Key Stage 3. Following this, plans are in place to start resourcing Sixth Form.
