Learning Objectives:
1. Describe the main elements of a Catholic funeral rite
2. Make links to the four last things Reflect on how symbols and rituals bring comfort and hope

- Fully editable lesson PowerPoint
- Find It - Information sheet about Catholic funeral rites
- Label It - Images of the four last things for pupils to stick onto their spider diagram and make links.
- Letter - A template to use as differentiation for pupils completing a letter to someone who is attending a funeral, and how the symbols & rituals bring comfort and hope.
- Stepping Stones - Plenary activity in which pupils tread on each part of the funeral rite and explain it, before moving on to the next and seeing how far they can get.
