Learning Objectives:
1. Know that people’s actions today can link to the ‘ecological virtues’ from Laudato Si’ 88.
2. Know ways in which people can give thanks for the blessings of Creation, including prayer, and spend time wondering about the blessings of Creation in their own lives.
Resources Include:
- Fully editable lesson PowerPoint
- Ecological Virtues Poster - This poster names and gives a brief definition of the ‘ecological virtues’ which pupils will explore more fully in the next lesson. It is a copy of the one on the presentation and the same one for Lesson 10
- Ecological Virtues for pupils - This is a Word version of the poster which can be used for reference by pupils in multiple ways
- Ecological Virtues and Reflection Worksheets - Write questions for an Examination of Conscience based on the ‘ecological virtues’
- Exam of Conscience - This is to be used both as a challenge stimulus for the activity (writing questions) as well as the reflection in the plenary.
