My Advent Art

Learning Objectives:
1. Create a piece of art that helps a Christian participate in the Advent season of waiting
2. Present your completed artwork in a class gallery

Resources Include: 
- Plan & Write Up - A worksheet for pupils to plan their artwork, and a sheet for them to write up what they’ve done for presentation in the class gallery.
- Jesse Tree Template - The 25 circles with associated symbols for a Jesse Tree. Pupils cut, colour, explain and/or design their own symbols and create a Jesse Tree.
- Carol Composition - A sheet guiding pupils through the creation of their own Advent carol, including how to write relevant lyrics and match them to the tune.
- Santon Characters - Templates for pupils to cut up, attach to toilet rolls and create their own French Advent santon characters of Mary, Joseph, Angel, Shepherd, and stable animals.
